It’s more than 30 years since the last time the National Eisteddfod was held in Wrexham, and if you can remember that, then, Arts Council of Wales would like to hear from you. Even if you didn’t attend the Eisteddfod that year, we’ve all got photographs tucked away from the late seventies, some more embarrassing than others that deserve to see the light of day.

Arts Council of Wales will launch an appeal today asking for photographs and memories from Wales relating to the summer of 1977.

The findings will form the basis of an exhibition hosted by Arts Council of Wales uncovering the nation’s stories and secrets in Y Lle Celf at this year’s National Eisteddfod in Wrexham.
Can you help us find these memories? Tell us your experiences and share in our week of 1977 celebrations from 30 July – 6 August.

If you have any photographs, or postcards or any artefacts that you think would be of interest from 1977, please send them to:

Ann Wright
Design & Publications Officer
Arts Council of Wales
Bute Place

Or email them to ann.wright@artswales.org.uk

Copies will be taken of your photographs used in the exhibition, so please don’t forget to add your name and address on the back of all photographs so that they can be returned to you.
